Paul has more than two decades of expertise in the security domain. He began his career serving as a Royal Marines Commando before transitioning into the private security sector. For the last 13 years, he has concentrated his efforts in Iraq, where he has delivered security strategies aligned with the needs of clients in diverse sectors, including Government, Logistics, Oil & Gas, NGO, and Construction. Paul holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, ASIS Certified Protection Professional designation and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Security and Risk Management at the University of West London.

Maria Fjeldstad

Senior Business Resilience Manager – Europe and IMEA, Marsh McLennan

Currently working in Business Resiliency Management with Marsh McLennan, with responsibilities in MEA and Europe, Maria comes from a background in corporate security and risk management with Deutsche Bank, as well as analysis and investigations with Sibylline, Interpol and Cambridgeshire Police in the UK. A strong promoter of the importance of public–private partnerships, Maria served as the private Co-Chair of Dubai OSAC during the COVID-19 pandemic and remains on the Steering Committee to date.

He is a former UK Special Forces Officer and Royal Navy Commando Pilot who subsequently diversified at C-level into the financial, aviation and security sectors. He has lived and worked in the Middle East for much of the past 15-years and is a licensed “Security Expert” with the Security Industry Regulatory Authority. He is a member of the Security Professionals Association and was the Industry Ambassador to Intersec 2022.

Adil Abdel-Hadi proudly received the 2021 International Achiever of the Year Award, recognising a Security Institute member who has made a significant contribution to security outside of the UK.
